The Gift of Spirit ~ The Hand of God

We search and search, mostly without, unaware that the journey is all mental, all within. One day our journey forces us inward and the real work begins. The Work is hard…at times it puts us off and we wish to walk away. Sometimes we go back to quick fix solutions that exist outside of ourselves. Sometimes we say, I have too much going on and need to take a break. The reality is we are battling our own dark forces, being pushed back by the Guardian on the Threshold whose job it is to make sure we are really worthy of the Light we will receive. Our own resistance does the work for the Guardian, but what of those who face the Guardian who do not give up, no matter what obstacle or challenge is laid before them, what will they face? What will the stripping away of the personality render in their life?

Without a doubt the process is challenging, however I prefer to call it stimulating. Never in all the years of doing The Work, have I become bored with my life or tired of what I do. Prior to that it was a different story, I would master something and move on, obtain a promotion and have my sites on a bigger better job. Nothing ever really satisfied my appetite for growth and nothing brought me a feeling of centeredness and wholeness within. Getting here was damn hard work. After my first journey up the tree I began to look at my life as a game…a very serious game and one that I must win at. The winning of course not measured against anyone but me. Each time adversity presented itself I looked at “The Hand of God” and asked what it was there for. More often than not, it was unpleasant stuff buried within. As I cleared the debris and begin to receive clarity I saw how incredibly empowering and uplifting the challenge was, because there truly was no way to lose when you really played The Game.

It is fascinating that as the purification process is underway we feel abject horror when faced by our own stuff. Facing it causes us to feel like we were punched in the gut, we try to rationalize our behaviors and the events that lead us to this point in the work, but we know it is a vibrational pattern within that has presented The Hand to us. Such a gift it is, this Hand, we lament these beautiful communications from God, who is only responding to our pleas for help. So often in our ignorance we reject The Hand unaware of the immense Light contained within the lesson. The Hand, when we accept it, lifts us up to higher levels of consciousness, each and every time. This is why I say you can’t lose. In the early stages of the work, the burning away of debris can feel overwhelming, but eventually less and less is presented and the debris is replaced with opportunities for growth and expansion of consciousness by way of our interaction and help of others. The growth is never ending and the relationship with God becomes so much deeper and more profound than anyone can ever believe until they cross the Threshold.

Oft time’s students become frustrated by the reappearance of a pattern and their perceived inability to eliminate it, not recognizing the test or the need for equilibrating their thoughts, words and deeds. They transfer the issue onto the teacher (meJ) or they stop or leave the work. When transferred onto me the Inner Teacher takes over assisting them in transmuting their understanding so The Work can proceed. Those that leave usually find some spiraling occurs within their lives; rarely do they step back up to the level of work that they had been at…saved for another lifetime (hopefully within the one they are in).

A Teacher has an awesome responsibility to their students. They often must deliver information in a way the student can be penetrated…sometimes that is upsetting to the body of pain, unaware of their own obtuse behaviors they thrash about and lash out. Pointing out all the things the teacher did or the offending party did to them, resisting The Hand every step of the way. If they are meant to understand and transmute, they will receive the Light and it will burn away another layer. The Teacher must handle each student carefully, aware that if the student leaves he or she may not be chased. The door is always open for return if the pattern is understood.

The Teacher is by no means perfect, as an Initiate, they are on their own ascending path; each encounter is an opportunity to spread the Light and expand their consciousness. Teachers make mistakes, mistakes of judgment, perception, reasoning and are often faulty in loving too much, but the three mistakes a Teacher is not permitted is that of abusing their sexual power with any student in any way, (humanness and statements about being human or not holy is not an acceptable excuse it is a copout and an escape clause). Now this is not referring to relationships that run their course and new relationships growing for the teacher, but it is specifically refers to a Teacher whose sexual energy is out of balance and the result is they take advantage of a student’s known weakness harming and damaging the students spiritual progress…this is a spiritual crime.

The next area The Teacher must guard against and remain ever vigil is the appropriate use of their relationship with financial power, a value exchange must be kept with all students that is appropriate to The Work , if service is offered freely their must be an absolute awareness that there is no karmic repercussion and is the reason why so many students must pay some level of compensation for what they receive. Even Christ received his compensation whether it was in the form of the bathing of his feet, a roof over His and the Disciples heads, a meal, etc. Yes, in the Theurgy of The Work, much is done on behalf of the student without the students’ awareness. In some avenues of The Teachings no fee is charged but a tithing process is put into place….it should always be one or the other…not both. Again in ancient times visits to the temple and work with spiritual teachers and priests and rabbi’s, the aspirant would save for ages to be able to approach and offer the right offering (think of the reasons why (SSS)). In modern times we struggle with the old way of doing things and with the differences between the east and west. Fee’s must always be nominal and services made available to all that are seeking and all that are ready. Excessive charging and outrageous costs point to a teacher out of balance, they may use many different explanations but The Teachings are clear on this point. When we see it, we must understand it is not RIGHT as far as The Teachings are concerned and run the other way.

The final place The Teacher must guard against is Power. Their status with their students is a heady potent formula and the egregore cannot be assumed to be God, it is Group Mind Energy directed and controlled by the teacher if they know what they are doing. The of any Teacher can quickly manipulate The Teacher’s flirtation with Power to an out of balance place and before they know it the dark forces are in and The Work is tainted. Many, many teachers end up down this road….and their karmic incurrence is huge. You will know the quality of the work of a teacher by fruits produced.

As you can see the life of a teacher is challenging and fraught with its own pitfall’s, which is why we always say that The Teacher guides you, but only those powers of consciousness connected with the Supernal’s can initiate you. Each of you will step into the role of a teacher at some point in The Work…bear these points in mind as you begin your service to others. The journey is amazing and worth every effort you can make.
